The pledge training program is to create personal
educational development for each person for making a
good fraternal member and build the solid brotherhood
    of Deaf Leather Fraternity.

Before becoming a pledge or setting a goal to be a
fraternal member of Deaf Leather Fraternity, each
member takes a careful consideration whether he can
    lead a true fraternal life.

Each member assumes the responsibilities and duties of
membership set by Deaf Leather Fraternity.

The pledge member is treated with the same respect
and courtesy as a fraternal member.

During the pledge training program, he and other
members are expected to support with each other
throughout the process. The pledging activities are
    educational, plentiful and exciting.

We seeks to better not only ourselves, but also the
community we lives in and we supports the principles of
    Love, Honor, and Truth.

    Hazing Policy

The term "Pledging" is a name given to new members
who begin their initiation program before they become
full fraternal brothers.  A pledge is an uneducated equal,
meaning Pledges are treated with the same respect as
Brothers while they are learning about the Deaf Leather
Fraternity.  We teach pledges about how to be a Brother,
not how to embarrass or hurt one another.

Our initiation is the different process to what contrary
you might perceive and it is NOT same as hazing.

DLF Boot Camp refers the initiation  as "the rites of
passage" for each pledging member in order to become
a full fraternal brother.  The purpose of the initiation is to
provide an experiential process on leadership training,
developing discipline of positive characters - "the mind,
body and spirit" and attaining deeper sense of belonging
    with the group.
