- Pledging begins with the first four (4) levels of the
fraternal membership. A prospective member should
complete the following requirements prior to DLF’s
scheduled Boot Camp.
1st STEP: INITIAL PLEDGE MEMBER
- This is the first (1st) level of the pledge process. DLF
membership packet is sent by email or mail to Initial
Member. Then, he reads the DLF membership
information and reading materials. A written or video
examination is given. He must complete the
examination first before moving up to the second (2nd)
level of the pledge process.
2nd STEP: TRIAL PLEDGE MEMBER
- The second (2nd) level of the pledge process. A member
is placed on Trial status to complete several
assignments as set by DLF.
- 3rd STEP: IMMINENT PLEDGE MEMBER
- The third (3rd) level of the pledge process. A member is
placed on Imminent (soon-to-be) pledge status to
complete the requirements shown below:
- - Recruiting: Each Imminent Pledge member recruit at
least one prospective (“potential”) brother to join
DLF.
- - Fundraising: Each Imminent Pledge is responsible to
cover their expenses for enrollment at the DLF Boot
Camp.
- Interviewing: Each Imminent Pledge interviews
4th STEP: FINAL PLEDGE MEMBER
- The fourth (4th) level of the pledge process and final
completion. A a member is placed as Pledge status and
prepares to participate at the DLF Boot Camp on
scheduled weekend. The location and schedule will
depend on the geographical area, budgetary plan and
the numbers of pledges available to participate.
